For Father's Day, my daughers presented
me with some really wild shirts and ties. Yes, ties. I've got one with
hand prints all over it, one with pink stipes, some with vivid colors and
still another with Dr. Seuss' Cat in the Hat. The shirts are equally unique.
My daughters were not sure I would wear them; they were concerned that
these might be too over-the-top for a professional to wear. Well, today,
I proudly wore one of the new shirts and ties. Why not. My kids gave them
to me in love, and I will think of them each time I put one on.
These are not just ordinary ties. These are the ties that bind.
Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there.
Eric
PS. This week's shaping up to be a busy week. Several blog entries, podcasts,
and comment responses in the draft queue. I'll get to these soon.

So are you that dude in the Verizon or Sprint commercial that the guy with the new cameraphones take a picture of? :)

I'm just curious, I will be going off to college next year and will be purchasing a tablet - your reviews and experiences have pushed me even more toward the M4 - but I wondered what you thought about the feasability of scanning whole college textbooks into the tablet with the book scanner you previously mentioned. I figured it would greatly cut down on the weight of carrying books everywhere. A close friend who is going to the same college also bought a Toshiba M200, and he loves it. I just waited a couple months hoping they'd release something with a bigger screen and internal cd/dvd, and thankfully, the M4 looks like exactly what I want. Thanks for all of your insight!

Hi Brian,
In your quest for answers on scanning textbooks, make sure to check StudentTabletPC.com (see link below to the discussion forum). Lots of students, including myself, hang out there and discuss our experiences, software/hardware reviews, etc. I think you'll find most of the answers you'll need there. I certainly have! Good luck.
