Last night, I enjoyed a delightful dinner
with my friend, Jason Womack, his wife Jodi, and some of their friends.
After dinner, Jason and I played with the M4 and we showed his guests how
to use Skype to make a call over the Internet - well, at least across the
room. You might say it was a geek dinner, or at least a geek dessert. It
always is, when Jason and I hang out. (Actually, as Jodi will attest, Jason
and I were very well behaved: we did not talk one word of tech for the
first two and a half hours.)
As I left the their home, I noticed
that Jason had a bike trainer (or whatever you call it) by the door. This
is a device that supports the rear wheel of the bicycle so that Jason can
practice for the cycle portion of his triathlons in the living room. Impressive?
Yes, but does he have one of these?

Eric, This was great. Made me :) Jason can utilize this gadget to mix-up a good protein shake before his next race. I really enjoy reading both your blogs. Keep up the great work.

Hello Eric
As one of the friends at the dinner, my wife Eva and I were impressed and pleased that you showed us the latest in technogeekinfo. I just blogged Jason and called you guys technoKings...so there you have it. I have a website...how do I get the blogging started?
also...in re: biking blender heaven....I first saw that at Burning Man several years ago....good for protein shakes before a triathlon, but excellent Margaritas for a playa sunset in expectation of a big BURN. It's also where I participated in my first Wedding as a Minister...fyi.
All the best

Skype is a wonderful product and an amazing phenomenon. Used it recently to add a European colleague to an all-day teleconference. As we logged in, I noted 2.9 million people on Skype! I just ordered Chat-Cord to connect a standard phone (including cordless) to any Skype-connected computer. (Ordered from Voxilla for $25w/free shipping.)

Call me "old-fashioned," but no...I use a regular blender, the one that plugs into the wall!
T'was great having everyone over for dinner (and, later that night some other friends called using Skype! Ah-ha...two more techies to play with!)
