Firefox now supported

My colleague, Tanny, just called and told me that he had a fix for the Firefox compatibility issue on my blog.

For over 20 years, Tanny has been a terrific friend and resource to me as I push the eneveope on technology.

For those of you who have written to me, thank you; I hope that this fix will allow you to enjoy my blog.

It was the CSS that I had to fix.

Glad to have been a help. I actually use Firefox as my main browser. I had to put in some clear: both statements for IE and that caused the problem. I was able to remove many of those statements and issue a work-around.

My personal site works a little differently from Eric's. This site uses pixels for width, where my site is em based. My site has worked all the time in both IE and Firefox. I haven't been able to test this site's fixes in Safari, so if anyone out there has Safari, please test.

Much Better in Opera Too!

Thanks for fixing this! I use Opera and I always hated having to scroll way down to get to the articles.

The navigation bar still doesn't look quite right in Opera, but this is still a big improvement. (In Opera, the navigaton bar is stacked on the left instead of spread out horizontally across the top.) If I find time to find a fix for this, I'll let you know, Eric. (Yes, I do have a next action for it!)

Thanks for the feedback, Ricky. Tanny's been helping me to clean of this and the coming ICA and eProductivity sites. We'll try to make them as Firefox and Opera friendly as possible.

Ricky,

Please check out the navigation bar now. I deleted the border from the ul and modified the border around the li. The only problem I can see with this solution is that if the navigation bar does not have enough items to extend across the page the top and bottom lines will not go across the page. I will check into putting the borders around the div another time.

Looks Perfect in Opera Now Too!

Tanny and Eric - This looks great now. It appears that the CSS code suggestions I sent proved useful. Thanks for implementing them!
